Project Admission
Design language evolution
Role
UI Design
Problem:
Venue listings feel dated and unprofessional in comparison to more modern areas of the product.
Goal:
Modernize the exchange marketplace listing pages and grow ticket sale conversions.
Project Details
As Project Admission evolved their product offering they felt that their ticket exchange marketplace, built with Google's Material UI, was beginning to feel dated. I analyzed the experience for opportunities to evolve the design language and collaborated with their CTO on a plan to pull design elements from their new 3d venue maps into the marketplace exchange.
In modernizing the listing pages we wanted a solution that was evergreen, where venue branding took emphasis over Project Admission's own branding. In their words:
We don't scream our name from the mountaintop at all
We wanted a solution that was comfortable to use for everyone from a CEOs assistant buying a suite, to a boy scout troop parent getting the link from their scoutmaster for group tickets.
